A Peak Into Our Christmas

Here are a few pictures from Christmas/day after Christmas:
Aunt Grace and Rose in matching dresses.

On Thursday, we went "skating" in our driveway.
Yee Haw!!!!

I was experimenting with Slow Sync. flash.

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

The "Hoary Frost"

"Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?"
Job 38:29
"By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened."
Job 37:10

I took these pictures several weeks ago for a photography challenge I did.
I really like how the two leaves have two different patterns on them. (the challenge for the day was patterns)

What do you think? Is there any way I could have improved them?

Maybe someday I will post more often. :)

Oh, and by the way, right now it is snowing and beautiful here in NE Ohio!
(I really like snow!)

Rejoice! Give Thanks!

1-O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
24-This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
28-Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
29-O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

The Ring Children

at least the 9 of us at home, that is!

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

This past spring/early summer, my Grandma R. wanted pictures of the four generation on that side of the family (Rose is the first of, Lord willing, many great grandchildren for them), so here it is!

Then we decided, "Let's add the wives."

Grandparents from both sides, my parents, my brother and his wife, and my niece.

Great Grandpa and Grandma with Rose

My family that was at home that day with my Grandparents.
And my brothers dog. :)

Mercy Hope

On Monday, Mercy got up about 7:30 and asked Mom if she could put on a pretty dress and have "Hannah take pictures of me like she did to Esther."
So how could I refuse? : )
She picked out the dress, I fixed her hair, I picked the flowers she wanted, and she chose the place.
Here are a few favorites...

Some of her faces are so cute/silly!

In this picture I was asking her where Star (the horse) was, and she was saying "I don't know."

Such a cutie!

*Something I have been thinking about lately*
Some people might pity me because I have 12 siblings.
I don't have what many people have.
I don't even remember having my own room!
But I am so rich in many ways!
I wouldn't trade any of my siblings for anything this world can offer!
I can't even begin to imagine what life would be like without them.
When I go somewhere, they give me hugs, when I return, they run to meet me.
I am far from being a perfect big sister (or younger sister), but they still love me, and that makes me love them even more!
I thank God that He has placed each of them in my life.
I am also thankful for my parents.
They have been together through thick and thin, through sickness and health.
They aren't perfect, none of us are, but they have strived to raise us to be godly men and women.
They have given advice, corrected, encouraged, pushed us further then we thought we could go, held us back when we needed to be held back, but most of all, they have tried to lead us in the path of righteousness.
I just want to take a minute to publicly say "Thank You" to my Daddy and Mommy, to my siblings, but most of all to my God!

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Hebrews 11:6

Rose Alora- 10 Months

 This is her new smile.
One of the toys she likes at Grandpa and Grandma's house.

 Such a little cutie!

Someone was running toward her.
I love her reaction!

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Rose, Again!

10 months old.

"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief."

Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Let's Take Pictures!

"Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."
Ephesians 2:19-22

Sunset Walk

You can see the silhouette of five of my family members to the left in the picture, with the silos on our farm on the right.

"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; ... But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus."
Ephesians 2:1, 4-7

Sweet Williams

"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved."
Ephesians 1:4-6

Blackie and Cloud (the momma cat) are best friends, so Blackie is the kitten-sitter at times.

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea."
Isaiah 11:6-9

The Harvest Is in Sight

Happy Birthday, Esther!

(I know Esther will not see this today, because we are both at Camp, but today is her birthday!)

Our fruit trees are loaded this year, and we are looking forward to the fruit.
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
Galatians 6:7-9

Grandma's Irises

Wishing a happy, happy birthday to my Mommy!

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

Rose Says...

"Happy Birthday, Daddy!"
(My brother, her daddy)

"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."
Psalm 127:3-5
