 I know neither of these pictures have anything to do with the really meaning of Christmas, but they were both part of this past Christmas.

The "thing" in the picture above is a German Sour Cream Twist.

My Grandpa was in Germany when he was in the Army and really like these, so my Grandma found a recipe and the tradition to have them every Christmas morning began in 1954.

We only make these on Christmas morning, or on Christmas eve, (I can only remember one time when we made them before that.), so they are a special treat. And they must be eaten with hot chocolate and oranges. :)
